Advanced PCB
Heavy Copper PCB
3oz to 12oz copper for high current power conversion, drives and charging equipment.

Overview
Heavy copper boards carry high current with less temperature rise, which is why power supplies, motor drives and charging infrastructure use them. Thick copper makes etching and lamination harder: sidewall undercut, resin starvation and drill smear all need process compensation. Aisler produces 3oz to 12oz outer copper with matched etch and press parameters, and can combine heavy copper outer layers with standard inner signal layers.
Key construction features
- Outer copper from 3oz up to 12oz, inner copper up to 6oz
- Mixed copper construction on the same board
- Copper busbar and embedded copper coin options
- Wider etch compensation to hold trace width at the base
